Transitori (2025)
La neu és un fenomen natural que fascina. La contemplació d'un paisatge nevat amb un cel blau, com en el cas de Simfonia etèria, ens fa oblidar la seva transformació permanent i cíclica, així com la presència latent d'una altra realitat natural que, quan la neu ja no hi sigui, apareixerà en el mateix espai.
Snow is a fascinating natural phenomenon. When contemplating a snowy landscape under a blue sky, as in Simfonia etèria (Ethereal Symphony), we are inclined to forget its constant, cyclical transformation and the latent existence of another natural reality, one that appears in the same space after the snow has gone.
Igni ens transporta a un entorn apte per poder constatar la transformació del bosc, un espai fràgil i complex on la interdependència assoleix el grau màxim: l'arbre com a individualitat pràcticament deixa d'existir i es transforma en una realitat col·lectiva, sobretot quan és atacat pel foc.
Igni transports us to an ideal scenario to witness the transformation of the forest. This is a fragile, complex space, where interdependence prevails and the individuality of the tree almost vanishes to become a collective reality, especially under siege from fire.
L'acció del foc no només devasta el bosc sinó que també actua sobre tot allò que hi té una relació directa. Tot i que sovint no hi pensem, Captius ens recorda que una part del món natural que hi habita està format per animals que, si sobreviuen a les flames, s'hauran d'adaptar a un nou entorn hostil.
Fire not only devastates forests but also impacts everything directly related to them. Captius (Captives) reminds us of what we often forget: that animals form part of this natural habitat and, if they manage to escape the flames, must then adapt to a new and hostile environment.
La transformació permanent del paisatge és una realitat tangible. En aquesta transformació hi actuen molts factors –naturals o no–, l'acció dels quals només podrem apreciar amb el pas del temps. A In memoriam, amb un símil manllevat del món de la representació teatral, hi queda exemplificada aquesta constatació.
The permanent transformation of the landscape is a tangible reality. Many factors are involved in this transformation, some natural, others not, and their impact can only be appreciated with the passing of time. In memoriam illustrates this with an analogy borrowed from the theatrical world.
